Interim Update on Pre-Testing and Product Certification

Our engineering team has been working extremely hard to finalize our manufacturing solution for the next version of our combined assembly (facepiece, retainer, filter media and strap system). We have developed our own internal bench-scale apparatus to minimize the cost and frequency of testing cycles and have developed a strategic collaboration with another Ontario-based biomedical company. We are on the cusp of achieving a solution which offers even greater reusability, better breathability, advanced filtration and overall increased performance. This would not have been possible without the Government of Canada and the support we received from the COVID-19 Testing Stream (Innovative Solutions Canada). This included collaboration with Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency as sponsoring departments. We strongly believe that the need for this intermediate category of economical semi-industrial/non-medical filtering facepiece respirator (FFR) with 95PFE certification will outlast the current pandemic cycle and should be in place in case of future need. We are continuing to work towards that goal of effective readiness with a Made in Ontario solution for Canada and the world. Thank you to everyone who supported us in our first year of applied R&D and responsiveness.
