President John Hayden posted to Linkedin:
Big news! Today I launched a new retail brand: General Civilian and introduced the RS-1: a durable, reusable and adaptable "substrate" that acts as holder for any mask or filter material, civilian or medical-grade.
What I'm really proud of is the fact that this project was made possible by Northumberland-Clarington engineering, creative talent and manufacturing capability. The RS-1 is proudly MADE IN CANADA at Custom Plastics International Limited and a whole network of innovators helped make this possible. I greatly appreciate being able to work with Brian Read (our Strategic Advisor), the team at CPI, the Microfactory Co-operative Inc. and people like Shawn Willings who designed our brand.
You can order your RS-1 now (individual and wholesale orders welcome) via our website: www.generalcivilian.com.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or feedback. I'd greatly appreciate if you shared these links. I believe in local production and strengthening our industrial and economic self-reliance, first in response to the pandemic and hopefully beyond that at renewed scale.
